If you have considered an electric scooter for getting around when conducting
errands, you should look at the Currie GT Electric Scooter. Not only will you
enjoy clean lines and style, but you will also enjoy the savings provided by
this scooter.
One specific model is the Asteroid. This is a new down tube console that
provides the rider outstanding convenience of an on/off switch and light.
The console also features a charger port and the front suspension of this
electric scooter provides an extremely smooth ride. The front v-brakes are
BMX style and the tires are easy rolling street tires with TR tubes. This
particular model averages an eight-mile range with a maximum speed of 15
miles per hour. In addition, you will find the Asteroid has enough power
to climb most hills. The battery for this scooter is fully rechargeable
in approximately five to six hours, and comes with a standard 2-amp charger.
Other benefits include an all-weather direct chain drive that has a built-in
freewheeling, bolt-on mounting plate and motor and speed specific gearing.
The motor is a 24V brushless DC motor that has built-in electronic pulse-width
modulated controller (PWM) that includes low voltage battery protection, brake
inhibit, and maximum speed protection. The throttle handlebar is mounted with
an on-demand variable speed thumb throttle for easy handling. This scooter
also has dual 12-volt, 10-amp hour sealed, recycled lead acid batteries in a
sturdy steel box frame that is mounted. If you love color, you can choose from
brilliant blue, red, or green. Even the spokes are classy and rustproof.
Another model is the Currie Mongoose Electric Scooter. This particular model
costs around $270 and comes in a variety of colors. This model provides
solid speed and handles extremely well on the road. The board and throttle
are sturdy, making this the perfect model for short trips. This is one of
only a few electric scooters with big wheels priced under $300. These larger
wheels provide a much smoother ride, easing over small bumps and cracks in the
road.
This scooter has a top speed of 15 miles per hour and averages from eight to
10 miles. The battery is a dual 12-V, 10-amp style and the charger is an
110V, 2-amp style. The battery recharges anywhere from four to five hours
and the battery itself is sealed so it is leak free. The tires are Kenda
street tires, measuring 12 inches that come with puncture resistant tubes.
Other advantages of this electric scooter model is the durable frame,
convenient on/off switch, built-in charger port, and best of all, it folds
for easy storage and transport. Either one of these models would be an
excellent choice that will save you time and money.
