The electric bike is slowly becoming popular in the United States for
transportation although the electric bike has been popular for years in
other countries such as Sweden, Denmark, Japan, Belgium, Norway, and
Holland. Unfortunately, the use of a bike in the United States is rarely
considered a viable option for transportation. People think they need a
car and if they do not have one, they use the public transit system, taxicab,

impatiently waved off with disinterest.

storage space, and when you need to park, you do not have to fight for those
coveted parking spaces. The electric bike also promotes a healthy lifestyle,
eliminates the need for foreign fuel altogether, and is fun to ride.
Amazingly, one of the complaints about riding electric bikes is the wearing
of helmets, which does not make much of an argument. Hair can always be
fixed after riding so this should not even be a consideration. It would be
no different from riding a regular bike or motorcycle. The electric bike
can be used for main transportation of getting to and from work or school,
or merely for recreation purposes of traveling to the corner store, park,
swimming pool, or to a friend's house. Another great thing about an electric
bike is that you can pedal when you want or allow the electric motor to get
you up those annoying hills. For example, a pedal-activated electric bike
can easily glide up hills. With this option, you can pedal for exercise or
if you need to arrive at your destination ready for business, you can allow
the electric bike to do the work for you.
Electric bikes are lightweight and run on a quiet, small sized motor that
is 100% electric. Think of it this way, you can ride your electric bike
for months before you would reach the amount of expense it costs to put
one gallon of gas in your car. Additionally, many places have electricity
that is powered from non-petroleum resources, adding even more to the
benefit list. If you think you would be interested in riding an electric
